About Us

North Central Badminton Academy (NCBA) started originally in 2000 under the Prince George Racquets Club (PGRC).  In June 2015 the NCBA became its own club.  Founder and Head Coach Lisa Davison says proudly, “It has been a long time coming and I am excited to have fulfilled a dream I have had for sometime.  I am grateful for all the help and support PGRC has provided over the years.  It would not have happened without them.”

At NCBA we …

  • encourage a sense of fair play and competition in a fun environment
  • provide progressive weekly skill development lessons for all ages utilizing Badminton Canada’s Shuttletime program
  • provide opportunities for badminton enthusiasts to just play and have fun
  • ensure for those who are competitive, opportunities and development that help support you to attain your best personal performance
  • offer team training
  • offer coaching, officiating and teacher instruction
  • host one day weekend recreational competitions
  • host one annual tournament open to junior, adults and masters
  • host athlete clinics and camps both winter and summer
  • host BC Winter Games trials and training
  • high-performance training and travel

A proud member of Kid Sport Prince George!

North Central Badminton Academy is pleased to be a part of KidSport.  Kidsport is a national children’s charitable program that assists financially disadvantaged kids to overcome the barriers preventing or limiting their participation in organized sport by providing funds for registration/participant fees to sport leagues. Not all kids have the opportunity to be involved in sports.  For those who dream of hitting a homerun, playing goal, shooting hoops, and making new friends, it’s all possible through KidSport™ .  For a happier healthier lifestyle for kids in British Columbia, KidSport™ makes a difference.  To apply click here.
